Registration

Registration is required for all new and returning Hermosa families.

Registration for school year 2010-2011 will occur on Friday, July 30th from 9:00 a.m. – noon and 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. Essential forms and informational handouts will be available by download prior to the registration date via Hermosa’s website at www.hermosaschool.org. For new students, color-coded forms not available on Hermosa’s website will be mailed. Completed forms must be returned at registration or via mail prior to Friday, July 30th. Please mail forms only if you are absolutely unable to attend and give Theresa Garrone prior notice via email at theresag@hermosaschool.org. Information centers regarding important school programs for the upcoming year will be available on July 30th only. This is a great opportunity to get your questions answered!

Preschool and Kindergarten
Tuesday, August 10 from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Look for your child’s orientation and phase-in schedule at registration. Make sure you pick up this important postcard!

Lower Elementary                                                     
Tuesday, August 10 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  

 

Upper Elementary

Tuesday, August 10 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.


Elementary orientation is for students who are entering Lower or Upper Elementary and their parents. Orientation will include a one hour informational presentation followed by a pizza lunch. Don’t miss this opportunity to get to know your student’s teachers and peers. At registration you should R.S.V.P. the number of adults/children eating pizza and attending orientation.

Middle School
Monday, August 9 at 4:00 p.m. we will have our family orientation meeting for all middle school students and their parents. There will be a sign up sheet at the orientation meeting for conferences to be held the first week of school. The purpose of the conference is to address the individual needs, expectations, and wishes of parents and students. For this conference to be effective, please read the online handbook under Info +, class info for parents. Also download essential Middle School forms from our website and complete them prior to your conference.

REQUIRED FORMS

  • Emergency Contact form – yellow (Returning students must update; new students must complete)

  • Health Registration form - green (Returning students must update; new students must complete)

  • Health Department form for Pre/K with instructions - blue (New Pre/K students only. Returning Pre/K students must update)

  • Current immunization records from your physician’s office or a Request for Exemption to Immunization (students will not be able to attend Hermosa until current information is provided)!

  • Certified Birth Certificates for new students (please submit a copy)

  • Custody or Guardianship documents (if applicable)

  • Allergy Action plan (if applicable – completed and signed by a doctor)

    Required and essential forms must be completed and returned prior to beginning the school year. Failure to return these forms will delay your student’s entrance.  


    Please read the informational handouts before school starts, and retain for reference throughout the school year. Updated information will be regularly posted on Hermosa’s website: www.hermosaschool.org.Hermosa’s calendar is especially subject to change.


    Teacher assignments for Pre/K and Lower Elementary will be posted on classroom doors at registration. We will not have this information available before registration. 

    • Bring your checkbook and pay your activity fee which is due 7/30/10.

    • Information on the choir program, H.O.P.E (Hermosa Organization of Parents for Education) and other Hermosa activities will be available!

    • Pick up your student’s AIMS/Stanford 9 scores.

    • Update your directory information and complete carpool forms.
