Hermosa Montessori's Beautiful campus

Hermosa lives up to the Spanish translation of its name- “beautiful.” Hermosa Montessori School is located in a distinctive Tucson location especially chosen for its beauty. Hermosa is located on 16 acres within the Tanque Verde Valley, near Fort Lowell and Soldier Trail. The quiet and spacious natural desert areas provide the perfect setting for students to experience and learn about the world of nature. Our unique campus provides the perfect setting for a protected, beautiful, and safe environment in which to learn and play each day.

Beautiful classrooms

Hermosa is beautiful by being well designed and maintained. Noted Tucson architect Ron Fridlind, designed the buildings and classrooms especially for Hermosa’s Montessori students. Great care and consideration was used in constructing our  buildings which are “green” buildings. From the paint on the walls, to the seats the students use, the materials are “friendly.” Our classroom furniture and materials contain no or harmful materials. The classrooms are bright, spacious, and welcoming. Natural lighting, majestic mountain views, and outdoor classrooms invite the children to learn each day.

Beautiful outdoor environments

We carefully maintain the pond, which houses our endangered fish, and all the 16-acre campus to make sure all of the outdoor areas stay beautiful-Hermosa. The campus features hiking trails, a labyrinth, and a swimming pool designed as a “child friendly” play pool for students to enjoy during hot weather.
