Welcome to the Hermosa Community, a group of dedicated adults working to create a bright future for today’s children: tomorrow’s leaders. Use these pages to learn more about the community and how you can participate. We encourage parents to take an active role in their student’s educational community and offer opportunities to visit classrooms, learn more about Hermosa, and volunteer.
We invite you to participate in regularly scheduled parent teacher conferences, twice each year, and we also encourage you to discuss your child’s progress with us at any time during the school year. Call the office to schedule a visit to see our classrooms and watch as children complete self-directed work on math, language arts, geography, and science using Montessori methods and materials. Observe 21st century skills such as creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration in action daily.
